Life launches two new titles
Archant Life’s London division has just launched two new monthly city lifestyle magazines to join its existing 17-strong portfolio.
Living Hadley and
Living North will be distributed to 27,000 homes and businesses in Hadley Wood, Totteridge, Winchmore Hill, Southgate, Arkley, High Barnet, New Barnet, Oakleigh Park, Finchley and Whetstone.

Mark Kebble explained the reasons behind the new launches: “Over a decade ago,
Angel magazine was launched in the Islington area and soon became a local institution. Having personally edited it for over four years, I knew the level of support that the magazine had – but also of a demand in Barnet and Enfield. Angel’s sister title,
North, filled a niche in Crouch End, Muswell Hill, Highgate and Alexandra Park, but we just felt there was more out there in North London that we could do justice to.
“So Living Hadley and Living North were born. Our research showed that residents in Mill Hill were just as keen as those in Hadley Wood for a new local publication dedicated to them, so it was decided that the best route to take were launching two separate titles.
“There isn’t a shortage of free publications in these areas, but there is a shortage when it comes to a magazine that truly gets to the heart of what these areas are all about. You won’t find celebrities on the cover who have little relevance to the homes the magazines are delivered to. There is so much to write about when it comes to the boroughs of Barnet and Enfield, and we aim to do them justice,” said Mark.
“Readers can expect local personalities, the hottest fashion looks, ‘tried and tested’ health page, behind the doors of stunning properties, fun for the family and our resident mascot, Hadley the Duck.”
With an experienced sales team headed by sales manager, Barry John, and commercial manager Sherif Shaltout to help grow the magazines, 2008 is set to see the titles go from strength to strength.
Archant Life now distributes over 600,000 free magazines across the capital every month.
